Knights of Avalon brings a packed November calendar to Marvel Snap. Arthur and Merlin lead the new cards, while Sanctum Showdown, Draft, new locations, and Twitch Drops give players several reasons to check back.
The update is a calendar, not a single card drop
Marvel Snap's Knights of Avalon announcement, published October 30, lays out a season built around Arthurian characters and several staggered releases. Arthur Pendragon and Merlin headline the paid season passes. Other cards, locations and limited modes arrive on different November dates. Read the calendar before spending resources: a card that looks essential on day one might have a useful partner arriving weeks later.
The announcement explains card text and dates, but it cannot tell us the settled competitive meta. Interactions may look powerful on paper and still turn out awkward once players test them in real matches. This guide separates the confirmed schedule from our deck-building suggestions. Check the live client for final text, prices and server-reset times, especially if you play outside North America.
The central theme is unusually clear. Several new effects reward four-Cost or higher cards, while others care about created cards or added Power. That gives players a useful planning question: does your existing collection support one of those engines? You can answer that before buying a pass or opening packs. A deliberate choice is more valuable than trying to collect every release.
Arthur and Merlin lead the Season Pass
Arthur Pendragon is the Series 5 Premium Pass card. His On Reveal effect pulls Excalibur to his location for free. Excalibur then gives your cards costing four or more an ongoing Power bonus. That makes Arthur more than a single body on the board: the location and your remaining high-Cost plays both affect his value. Read the exact live card text before committing to an expensive sequence.
Merlin of Avalon is attached to the Super Premium Pass. His On Reveal adds The Grand Design to your hand. That created card becomes cheaper for each created card you have played, and it can give a card at each other location additional Power. The wording suggests a deck that spreads value across lanes and generates cards along the way, though the best shell will require actual match testing.
The official post also lists a Web Shop bonus for direct Premium or Super Premium purchases, including a Series 5 SNAP Pack. It specifically says upgrading from Premium to Super Premium later does not trigger that bonus. If the bonus matters to you, read its purchase instructions and eligibility before paying. Do not assume a purchase inside the app or an upgrade follows the same rules.
Weekly releases give the season its rhythm
Captain Britain is scheduled for November 3. After you play a card costing four or more, he gives that card Power and reduces the cost of a card in your hand. Lancelot follows on November 10 and rewards cards that already have increased Power. Their effects point toward a shared theme, but drawing the pieces in the right order still matters more than a neat card list.
Elder Dragon of the Moon is listed for November 17. Its cost falls for each of your cards in play with increased Power. Sir Percy Black Knight follows on November 24 and becomes cheaper for each other four-Cost-or-higher card in your hand. Both appear in Seasonal SNAP Packs as Series 5 releases. The publisher's schedule is a plan; the in-game pack screen remains the best source for availability.
Mordred and Knight's Vow are Series 4 cards tied to limited-time events instead. Mordred gains Power from higher-Cost cards at his location. Knight's Vow changes costs and Power for cards in your hand. Their acquisition route differs from the weekly pack releases, so keep that distinction in mind. A strong card is not useful if you miss the event window where it can be earned.
Two locations amplify expensive cards
Niamh's Lake is announced for November 11 and draws a four-Cost card from your deck. Round Table, scheduled for November 25, reduces the cost of cards costing four or more. Location previews can change deck-building priorities for a short period, but they do not guarantee a location will appear in every match. Build a deck that still functions when neither one shows up.
If you want to experiment, begin with a familiar deck and replace only a few cards. Track whether the new card actually wins a lane or merely looks impressive when the ideal location appears. That simple test can help you see whether Arthur's Excalibur bonus, Merlin's created-card payoff or a weekly card improves your normal plan rather than competing with it.
Remember that card text is only one part of a Marvel Snap turn. Space at a location, priority and your opponent's remaining options can change the outcome. A card drawn by Niamh's Lake still has to fit your curve. A discounted card at Round Table still needs a lane worth playing into. The new locations open opportunities without replacing basic match awareness.
Sanctum Showdown and Draft return
Sanctum Showdown runs November 5 through 12 at server reset, with Mordred on its reward track. Draft returns November 19 through December 1 and includes new Augments plus Knight's Vow to earn. High Voltage has a shorter November 14 through 17 window. These dates come from the official season page and are more useful than a vague promise of 'events all month.'
The mini-event calendar adds Hyper Cube Rush, XP Sprint and Cube Collect windows throughout November. Some rewards include Draft Tickets. If you have limited play time, look first at the event that grants a card you actually want. Cosmetic albums and shop takeovers have their own schedules; they are separate from the limited-mode reward paths.
Second Dinner also schedules the Golden Gauntlet World Championship for November 7. Twitch Drops run November 6 through 12. The official post lists rewards for two, four and six hours watched, and directs players to link their account. Check the official linking page and the live drop campaign before leaving a stream on; availability and claim steps can vary by account.
What to do first
Open the official season calendar, mark the two or three releases you care about, and review your current collection. Players with several strong four-Cost cards may find Arthur and Captain Britain interesting. Players who already generate cards may want to test Merlin's payoff. These are deck-building hypotheses, not ranked recommendations, and they should be revised after matches.
If you plan to spend, confirm the pass tier and Web Shop rules before purchase. If you plan to play for free, focus on the timed modes and rewards rather than assuming the season has nothing for you. Marvel Snap updates can feel overwhelming because cards, events and albums arrive together; treating each date as a separate decision makes the month easier to follow.
Most importantly, resist declaring a best deck from preview text alone. The season's most interesting combinations may emerge only after weekly cards and locations arrive. Keep a small note of what worked, what failed and which opponent strategies caused trouble. That habit will tell you more than a launch-day tier list built before the whole update is live.
